Telephone calls from ports

We will be on the Western Caribbean cruise on Oct. 7th. What is the best way to make telephone calls to the U.S? Our ports are the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel Mexico. We have Cingular cell phone service, but we are not for sure if it will work. Or can you buy a phone card at the ports? :)

Your Cingular phone should work in all these places. Check http://www.cingular.com/media/roaming_gen for details... I checked and Mexico is $1/min, the other places around $2/min. Not a bad deal...
