I want to book a cat 6 on Elation and there is a guar. 5a catagory. I have noticed that if I put in 2 people we can book a actual 5A but not 3 people. Since there are 3 of us, I was thinking I can safely book the 5A guar. and get a 6. Is this true about a 5A? I can't find the info anywhere on the Carnie website.

If they are not over the coast guard limitation of number of persons on the ship, they may move a cot into almost any room to allow a third person to sleep in it. I have had it happen, however, that staterooms WITH UPPER BIRTHS were available, but not to be sold as a triple or quad because they had already met their maximum capacity.
