calikak Posted September 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2006 I am taking a bunch of friends on Diamond Princess next month, including one friend who is vegetarian (lacto ovo, so she eats cheese and eggs but no meat or fish). We are considering going to Sabatini's one night while onboard. I have eaten at Sabatini's several times, but I've never thought about it from a vegetarian perspective. Have any vegetarians eaten there and if so, did you enjoy your experience? I can't remember, is there a vegetarian entree option?
Toto2Kansas Posted September 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2006 What I would do is to pop in and talk to them first to make sure they can offer enough for your friend. I am sure they can do it if given proper notice.
spongerob Posted September 20, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2006 That's excellent advice. We had the same issue with friends when we planned to go to the Painted Desert. I spoke to the maitre d' there beforehand and they were able to have a nice dish put together for her.
Giorgi-one Posted September 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2006 How much salad, pasta and eggplant can he eat?
Rare taxatty Posted September 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Personally, I think it would be a big waste of $ if you don't eat seafood. You can get pizza for free elsewhere on the ship. Les
Humfrey Posted September 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Don't bother-I went last week to Sabatinis and they were utterly hopeless in relation to special dietary requirements. I had gone to the maitre d 2 days before hand and explained in great detail that nobody wanted any seafood. I explained what seafood meant and then explained to all the waiters what it meant, yet throughout the meal we were brought crab, prawns, lobsters etc. We were even brought a seafood terrine, and the waiters were astonished when we told them that it contained seafood.
