Pre-Ordering Wine

It sounds like you can avoid the corkage fee and the 15% gratuity on wine if you pre-order it from Princess and bring it to the dining room. I don't think I would do this for most of the wines, but might consider it for those that cost $70 or more/bottle (such as Opus One or the Caymus Special Selection). However, it looks like the only expensive wines that can be pre-ordered are the champagnes. Has anyone been able to pre-order any of the better reds? If so, are there any drawbacks to pre-ordering those and taking them to the dining room?

I always wait until on board as look at the wine list. I have it delivered to our room, have a glass while getting ready for dinner then take a glass with me to dinner. The room steward knows to make sure the glasses are replaced the next day. This way I get the wine I prefer and don't pay a corkage fee.
