Just curious on shipboard cards and ages

I understand that the age to enter the casino and the disco, on Celebrity in the Caribbean, are still 18, but the drinking age is 21. Do they have a different card for 17 and under, 18 to 20 year olds and then 21 & over (that would be 3 different cards)?

We are taking my 2 daughters next March and one will be 20 and one 17. Neither care to drink so that is not the problem. We have taken the 20 yr old to a couple casinos in the area to play the 2 cent slots. The 17 year old turns 18 the second day of the cruise. However, I understand that they base the person's age on the day the cruise starts - any comments or ideas?? She'd like to be able to try the 2 cent slots after her 18th birthday if they have them. Should she be carring her license, or won't that help?

Just FYI, on our first (and last) Canrival cruise June 2006, anyone who looked under 21 (age for casino was 18) had to carry their license or passport EVERY time they went to the casino. Though our 17 year old never tried to go into the casino, this was a pain for our 20 year old.

Thanks for any info -

Peggy
