Last Minute Bargains From Florida

Does anyone have suggestions about how to get the best prices on last minute cruises from Florida ports this winter? We only need one to two days notice and would like to get the lowest price possible. We have heard that you can actually walk right up to the ship and bargain with them if they have available rooms. We would prefer two to three days notice.

I think all lines now require 72 to 96 hours notice: thus the olden days are long gone. NMnita

Sanibelle, If you are down here for the winter then you're in a great position to get a cruise bargain as you can drive to Fll or Miami. Call a few cruise lines during the week and ask what they have available for the up coming weekend. Find the cheapest price, then book it.

We got a wonderful deal when I called up one Saturday for the following Saturday. Under $400 ...7 day for 2! If you want a certain itinerary that will narrow your choices. Have fun cruising fellow nutmeger :D

Most of the online discount sites have a cut off of about a week or so before the cruises. We have also noticed that the price goes UP at about 12 days before the cruise.

Start searching for the different on-line sites and compare their prices from day to day. Check all of the Florida ports - FLL, Miami, Tampa, Port Canaveral and Jacksonville. Since we can't list specific agencies here, I can't tell you which ones we have had the best luck with - suffice it to say that we have found the same class balcony cabins on the same cruise ranging from $549 to $1499 - it just takes some hunting!
