Port of Aruba

I'm looking for info on the layout of the port. I will be sailing on the Brilliance in March 07 and we are the only ship in port that day. My DW has MS and can walk short distances with my help. Can someone tell me how far it would be from the ship to where we could take a taxi. We have a scooter and our own wheel chair but would rather not lug them along if we don't have to.

when you get off the ship you will walk into a building with a few small shops and telephones down about six steps and you should find several taxis right there if not there will be a dispatcher to call one.

we also travel with a scooter and a foldup wheel chair. I would suggest taking the wheelchair in the trunk of the taxi to give you more flexibility

for instance on return from wherever you go you may want to have them drop you near the shopping arcade or casino in Oranjestad. It isnt far and you can see the ship from there. you could then wheelchair back to the ship we will be on Brilliance next month 14 days Istanbul, Greek Isles, Italy to Barcelona back2back from Barcelona to Malaga Lisbon, Madeira and 6days Transatlantic to Miami.
