BettyNL Posted September 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2006 We are doing our own airfare into Santiago (Chile) and need to get from our hotel there to the ship in Valparaiso. Can we purchase our transfers from Celebrity at their website on line?? All I find are shore excursions for our cruise. Thank you.......
hajekfam Posted September 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2006 Celebrity does not sell hotel to pier transfers for hotels that you book on your own, they do include them if you book the hotel through Celebrity. You can get airport to pier transfers (from an airport Celebrity is using for Celebrity air) for the day of cruise, but you would have to get the airport on your own. Your TA should be able to help you buy a transfer.
GramaFran Posted September 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2006 If by chance you are staying in a Celebrity pre cruise hotel (booked on your own) you can book the transfer at the courtesy Celebrity desk in the hotel lobby. We did in Amsterdam and just paid cash for the transfer to the agent at the desk. Very easy and was only $15 each. They take your suitcases from your room (put out in hall by 9am) and you see them in your cabin. Great way to travel between hotel and ship. hajekfam Posted September 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2006 You were lucky - twice we booked a Celebrity pre-cruise hotel on our own in Barcelona and both times we were not able to purchase transfers between the hotel and pier. We asked before and also at the Celebrity desk in the hotel lobby.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2006 I would recommend calling Celebrity to find out if you are staying at the same hotel that they are using for the pre-cruise and if so if you can purchase a transfer through them. If not, keep in mind that the drive from Santiago to Valparaiso takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes on average. Keith
