Sandi149 Posted October 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Hi, My DH and I are going to be going on a CTN Oct 19-21 aboard the Carnival Legend. I heard that there is a formal night (2nd/last night). Do people actually get dressed up for this. I know that I would like to get really dressed. I am planning on taking a black cocktail dress and Dh will be wearing a suit. Is that too dressed up? Will we be the only ones in formal clothing? Anyone who has done the 2 night CTN on Carnival, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks, Sandi
Bunkie103 Posted October 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Did this cruise 2 years ago from NY and there is indeed a formal night and most, but not all passengers participate. Very much like a longer trip. We saw everything from tuxes and formal dresses to khakis and golf shirts. Go, enjoy and by all means dress up and have your portrait done. Have fun. Cotton Posted October 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2006 I've only done one 2 night CTN, out of N.O. It was the second night on board, and I don't think most folks knew there would be a formal night, even though it was announced in the Capers. I'd say about half were dressed formally. Sandi149 Posted October 2, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I think we are going to get dressed up even if it is a 2 night cruise. We will be celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary and I want to make a special occasion out of it. :)
