cruz_luvr1 Posted October 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2006 We went to St. Maarten last year on the Mariner, and spent the day at the Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, which was fabulous. For $10 apiece ($5 umbrella, $5 a chair), we had an incredible day. We are going back to St. Maarten in Feb 2007 on the Adventurer, and would like to consider visiting another resort for the day on the Dutch side. Anyone know of any resorts on the Dutch side that allow cruise passengers for the day? Thanks.
gazingm42 Posted October 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2006 How did you make arrangements for this? Via the ship or did you show up?
CrtnyGbs Posted October 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2006 My fiance and I just returned from St Maarteen via Carnival valor. We were able to get a 2 chairs and an umbrella at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort for $10 dollars. The beach was beautiful and we got to watch the planes come in. A "beach day" at Divi Little Bay is very simple and inexpensive to do on your own. We were there a couple of years ago. We simply took a taxi there, they dropped us off at the front door and we walk straight to the beach. We thought that this was a great place for a quiet day at the beach. The beach and view were beautiful, it was not crowded at all and we were not hasseled to buy or rent anything. It is short taxi ride from downtown, so it is easy to spend part of the day shopping and part of the day at the beach. We are planning on going back in a couple of weeks.
