crazycruzer68 Posted October 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I e-mailed the casino manager of the Inspiration via the Ocean's Players website. I have not recieved a reply and it's been about 5 days. I used the e-mail form that pops up under contact us, it didn't show me the address so I am not sure if it went threw, does anyone know the actual address? I thought I might try it again, can't hurt to try.

It won't show the address... if you aren't a big gambler, you may not receive a reply back... they could just look up your OP account and may or may not reply... did your email indicate you would like a reply?? Also, 5 days really isn't a sufficient amount of time to expect a reply... these folks are pretty busy and I'm sure get plenty of correspondence... a little patience and maybe you'll see something. oliveoyle Posted October 3, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 3, 2006 We e-mailed the casino host 4 weeks before our Sensation cruise in Sept. She answered right back and when we got on the ship, the cabin was decorated and we recieved a fruit basket from her. She also bought drinks for us in the casino. Very nice time. oliveoyle

GoinCruisin Posted October 3, 2006 #10 Share Posted October 3, 2006 We e-mailed the CD for the Elation and recieved a reply back within 2 days and we are not members of the OC. Guess it depends on the host... I would think they would at least reply, but I wouldn't expect much for those that aren't members of the OPC... I would also imagine they are bombarded lately thanks to CC, with people trying to get free stuff :p LOL
Vidimom Posted October 3, 2006 #11 Share Posted October 3, 2006 We emailed the Fantasy casino host and received a reply very quickly. I did this about 6 weeks before our trip. When we arrived on board, the room wasn't decorated. I went to the casino host and inquired about some credit that I had from a previous cruise and found out that the Casino Host had only been on the ship 8 days so she didn't even know about the credit much less about decorating our room. We didn't mention the decorations but did get the credit I was due. Don't email too early as this may happen to you also. I was actually a little disappointed that the cabin wasn't decorated or that she didn't even bother to check OPC members that were on board. gr81 Posted October 3, 2006 #12 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Emailing MAY get you something (that includes the reply to your email). Then again it may NOT. Its up the the individual casino host as to what to do.

I was told this my the pit boss(one of them anyway) on the Legend last month. I also emailed prior to sailing and received no response. heymom32000 Posted October 3, 2006 #15 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I emailed the host for Fantasy and heard back within a few hours. I wanted to know if there was Texas Holdem games held on the ship. Was told that there are but that the tables are not located in the actual casino. Not expecting anything special from the casino host though....I just wanted that info. Now if we do get something special that would be great. Chexmix Posted October 3, 2006 #16 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I e-mailed the casino host on the Holiday about 4 weeks out. I didn't recieve a reply but when we got to our cabin it was decorated and we received a fruit basket. When writing make sure to put your booking # and your cabin number if you know it. This way if they are going to do something special for you they have the information needed. Also make sure to introduce yourself once on board. Like others have said, this got me a few free drinks. :D

Rare EngIceDave Posted October 4, 2006 #23 Share Posted October 4, 2006 I emailed the Valor casino manager before we left, twice, and never got a reply. I then sent and email to Ocean Players Club itself, and no reply by email, but got a phone call saying that their email to me kept being bounced back. That was strange since all other CCL emails got through. So, if you do not get one from the ship, don't sweat it, contact OPC's main office Oh, and we had all kinds of junk in our cabin. BTW, apply for casino credit. You don't have to use it and they don't go through credit centers, so it doesn't affect your "real credit" They just contact your bank to make sure you have enough cash to cover the amount of credit you are asking for. You can use this like a bank, no interest, no fees. Say you apply for $2k in casino credit and are approved. Then you go to the casino cage, take out $500 or whatever when you want it and at the end of the cruise, you payback the casino with a check. No check cashing fees, no ATM fees, no American Express required, no travelers checks Casino becomes your personal bank for the trip PLUS, casino manager knows you're alive and possibly a player, so they leave goodies in your cabin at embarkation

gr81 Posted October 4, 2006 #25 Share Posted October 4, 2006 I am a member, but I haven't really used the card much. They can tell how much you played on previous cruises over the last 24 months. Depending on what you put in your email, I wouldnt sweat not getting an reply unless you asked a question that they should answer. With a lot of people reading CC, some hosts probably get way more emails now and may be a little more picky when deciding who to reply to.
