I received an email this evening from the Casino Host on the Elation. She gave me a complete description of all their games and then said she would be in the casino when we arrived on the ship. She said to stop by and introduce ourselves that afternoon and she would arrange for a free gift. We are not members of the Players Club and this will be our first trip on Carnival which I explained in my email to the Players Club.

I have e-mailed the ocean players club prior to my last two cruises, asking what amount of "credit" I had earned for my next cruise (then the date of the next cruise and ship). Both times I received a reply with a "credit" amount and was told to show it to the casino manager when I arrived on the ship. I received a welcome letter in my room mailbox, shortly after arrival and was given "cash" for my credit both times, as well as while I was playing had free drinks for myself and whoever was with me at the time along with receiving a bunch of t-shirts, beads, a beach bag and a hat. I received these on the Victory and on the Legend (Feb 2006 and Feb 2005). I will e-mail again before we go this February (it was worth the "credit" cash I had earned, once it was $77.00 and the other time is was $117.00) Okay, so I spent it all again - but I had a great time!

How much money do you have to spend in order to get special treatment like this??? I wont be spending that much in the casino (the fufu drinks is another story since this is my first cruise being 21) but my uncle is going with us and he usually spends at least $1000-$3000 on the tables he likes 3card poker he is a semi pro texas holdem player so he might spend even more than that not really sure. but i thought if he qualifies i could have him e-mail him. thanks for all your help you guys are the greatest!!!:D

I emailed the casino manager on the Ecstasy...we are sailing on her November 4th....told him that I had a cruise on the conquest in May and was very interested in learning more about the onboard casino....and how to join the players club....whichi is all very true..I was pretty much introduced to blackjack and gambling on the conquest..so i was kind of reserved..but would like to be a bit more aggressive on this trip..and start receiving credits for my next conquest trip next year....he replied within a day....explaining to me all about his casino..and then told me that once I was onboard, to introduce myself to him and he would have a free gift for me...kinda kewl....we will see what happens,

last year I filled out all the info for the OP card before we went on the Imagination and when I got to the cashiers cage and told her I wanted the card she told me that they just used my ss card for my OP card. I did really good on the slots and cashed out on one night BJ over 100.00 plus put almost 117.00 on my SS from slots. Hit one machine for 200.00 on one spin. I will be on the freedom in March i don't know if there is a casino manager yet to email. I play slots and BJ. This is the frist time I had heard about perks for playing OP. When should I email the host? Should I call my PVP to see about this?
