smoothdancer Posted October 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2006 I have looked all over and I cant find the website that tells weather on an annual basis. Does anyone know what the temp is in New Orleans in late December? Is it warm enough to book a hotel maybe 4 or 5 blocks from the French Quarters, and walk? Thanks! tricruisers Posted October 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2006 I am sure someone will post the weather for you to see, but we have sailed out of NO four times in winter and only once was very cold. Other times it was cool, jacket type weather. Days usually warm up nicely. It remains cool as you head out to sea for a couple of days. The first time we cruised I thought it was going to be warmer than it was and had to wear the same jacket the whole time in NO and 2 days out and the last two days as we returned. Weather is weather, and may not be that for your trip. It does get toasty down in Jamaica, Caymen, and Mexico.
zydecocruiser Posted October 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2006 It can be just about anything, but it a whole lot easier to walk in December than in July. It is almost never extreme. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lix/html/msy/climate.htm Avgs in the 60s in the day and 40s at night.
