cruisinmaymay Posted July 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2004 Is there ever a night to bring it in from the duty free shops? I have been on ships that allowed this. If not how hard is to get it to your room and what happens if you are caught with it in your luggage?
GoinCruisin Posted July 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2004 At one time Carnival allowed this, but not anymore. If you buy it in the gift shop, you cannot pick it up until the last night on the ship... We "smuggled" a couple of bottles in our checked luggage with no problem at all... What happens if they catch you with it? They throw you in the Mexican jail and most likely you will be hung.... okay, just kidding... they will just take it :D
Wicked Posted July 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2004 We were on the Glory last October, We had one of those collapsible coolers with us and had 9 bottles of wine in it. No one ever even opened it. But next time I get the one with the rollers! :) As we carried it on. We took a bottle to dinner every night, and were never charged a corkage fee and had the other 2 bottles in our room for the before and after dinner drink on the balcony! :) Best idea ever! But get the rolling cooler!
