Cinque Terre-Private guide or shore excursion?

Has anybody gone to Cinque Terre from Livorno. Would they recommend it or is it too far away? Has anyone used the ship's tour? If so did you like it? Anyone use a private driver? If so I would be interested to hear about your experience also. Thanks

Too far...There are about 130km...and the last part is on a narrow street on the mountains...By train is, with the fastest option, 1 hour and 30minutes...

 

The best way to visit Cinque Terre is by train or by boat..but from Livorno is too far. :) :)
