so there Posted October 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2006 I know this has been answered here, but I can't seem to find the thread. We'd like to have a bottle of champagne and some canapes waiting in our stateroom when we board. I've looked at the Celebrations order form in the Cruise Answer book, but can't find any indication that it would be waiting for us....in fact, all that's mentioned (unless I'm missing something) are gift cards or vouchers. Do I need to call Princess to arrange this?

smoothdancer Posted October 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Couple of questions about this. I really hate the idea of putting my CC number on a form and then faxing it. Are there any alternatives. Was your champagne chilled when you got to your cabin? We ordered champagne once on Carnival and it was just on the desk with ribbions on it... Was not really what I had in mind!

Would this be similar to the "vow renewal" packages? Thanks for sharing the photo. Our documents for the Star arrived yesterday. Still can't believe that we are actually taking this "extra" cruise! We are looking forward to those "platinum" perks: preferred check-in, free internet access, and the comfy disembarkation lounge that you introduced us to in January. Haven't started packing yet, but we got an early start on outdoor fall cleanup so that is done before we leave. Please say "hello" to Bruce. Hope we can sail together again sometime. be well. Chris Oops! It's me - I didn't realize that Mike was still signed in.

digitalgirl Posted October 9, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2006 We preordered champange and strawberries on the Sun. There was a gift card on the desk that told us to call room service when we were ready. It was brought chilled. I had packed a champange cork and stuck the rest in the fridge. We enjoyed a glass several evenings in our room.

cruisegifts Posted February 28, 2007 #10 Share Posted February 28, 2007 If you are departing from Vancouver or any Alaska ports ... you can get custom cruise gifts or order off http://www.alaskacruisegifts.com or call 1-877-879-9766 ... it cost less than ordering from any of the cruise ships and delivery to the terminal is only $1.50. sanjosebarbie Posted February 28, 2007 #11 Share Posted February 28, 2007 My husband and I ordered "The Grand Occasion" package on our last cruise together. We had champagne upon arrival, we got canapes or petit-fors every night prior to dinner, a spa package for two (just a massage/dry flotation bed for 2), a tour of the bridge while in port, and two robes (I love my Princess robe, and I wear it almost every day...it's the best part of that whole package). At any rate, that may be more elaborate than you're looking for (and it was a bit pricey), but they really did deliver everything they promised. The champagne was there, and it was chilled...very nice! I don't think you'll be disappointed, unless they're having a really off day! Oh, as to how we ordered it, I called Princess directly, because I hate faxing my info, too!
