Ches94 Posted October 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Morning fellow cruise lovers! Did the doc dance this week-taking 6 of my girlfriends from work on their first cruise 11/3 (3 night Sovereign). We are staying the night before at the new Residence Inn at Port Canaveral and I'm wondering how close to a public beach access will we be? They have never seen the ocean before and I thought what a cool way to begin the trip-early morning coffee on the beach (we are all early risers):) Any tips or hints will be greatly appreciated!
cdillon23 Posted October 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2006 I would call the hotel and ask the front desk, they would have all that information for you.
Happy ks Posted October 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2006 I think it is about 3 miles from the closest beach. If you're not renting a car, take a cab (or two!) or public transportation (if any). I think it is a lovely idea and you should get there somehow, some way. We are fortunate enough to live close enough to the ocean to do this many times on Sunday mornings. We can never get enough of the ocean. Have a fun cruise :)
cb at sea Posted October 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Shoot, after you board the ship, you'll see PLENTY of ocean!
Ches94 Posted October 8, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted October 8, 2006 Hadn't stopped to think about that one! You are correct though. There is just something to be said though for sitting on the sand catching the sunrise over the water. Almost makes me wonder if I shouldn't change our ressies to an oceanfront hotel.
