Delasolbaltimore Posted October 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2006 I am still working on compiling my review. I missed the cruise critic party :( got to the ship very late! I was in Jade suite 11012. Very nice, rightouside the aft elevator. I'd be happy to answer any questions. I am still working on my review. Was there still an always available menu? What was the noise level from above? Did you hear anything? Thanx
Delasolbaltimore Posted October 10, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted October 10, 2006 Not sur hat the "old" menu was - what resturant are you refering to? From my room, throughout the night/day it sounded like people walking in heels walking above and people diving into a pool despite no pool above us. the library and card room were above us. 2tnts Posted October 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2006 We are sailing on a similiar ship the POH. We are in cabin 11512, directly across the ship. I have a few questions. You mentioned your cabin as the "Jade Suite". Do all of the Penthouse suites have specific names or decor? We are not routine drinkers - are sodas and bottled water available and replenished in the bar set-up? Is there an additional charge for room service? Any other perks? Delasolbaltimore Posted October 10, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted October 10, 2006 Not sure if the decor is different in each of the suites, but yes they all have different names (lal are named after jewels, go figure) We had butler service. He was used to bring food for room service. We had access to the Blue Lagoon menu for additional room service food options. There was a stocked fridge as well as a mini bar and bottled water, but you had to pay for what you consumed.
Delasolbaltimore Posted October 10, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted October 10, 2006 And no, there was not additional charges for room service though you need to tip the butler at the end. There was also a cappuchino machine in the room. Never could get it to work right though.
