Local tours in Belize

I am going to Belize on Nov. 2. I have some friends who will be there also. We are arriving at exactly the same time, on two different Carnival ships, Valor & Miracle. We want to take the Mayan ruin tour together, however Carnival won't allow us to go on the same bus. Has anyone taken a local tour of the ruins? Carnival says it is a 7 hour tour and we fear if we don't take a Carnival excursion we won't get back to the ship in time for debarkation.

Gilly Young does independent tours. You meet him right at the dock at the Wet Lizard (to the right once you step off the tender). He can custom design your tour without a custom "price" and he will tell you if you can do all that things you want to do in the alloted time. He is from Belize and can coordinate a tour between you and your friends schedule.

Email him at gillytours@yahoo.com and tell him that Linda said to take really good care of you and that you will "reporting back to me" when you get back.

Have a great cruise!!! We just got back off the Miracle on Sunday and had a marvelous time!
