sldcruiser Posted October 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2006 We're considering a cruise on the Victory in late June out of New York sailing to New Brunswick. What weather can we expect in Canada, as well as on the cruise since most days will be at sea?
nybumpkin Posted October 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2006 We sailed 6/28/04 on Victory and were in Saint John 6/30. The day was cloudy and cool - a sweater/jacket definitely in order - but it was very pleasant. However, the weather can be very changeable - the next day we were in Halifax and it was sunny and very warm. My best advice is to be prepared for a range in temps. Likewise, sea days can vary; when we sailed Victory in 2004 (5-day to both Saint John and Halifax), we went in and out of fog each day - but this year (4-day to Halifax only), we experienced no fog at all. Temperature-wise it varied as well; most mornings we loved having breakfast out on the Lido deck, rather than in the restaurant - but we usually needed sweatshirts. Later, the sweatshirts usually disappeared. Hope this helps!
