Andy Posted October 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2006 Is this a reaction to the market or the new fees to soak the passengers? I am 100% sure that's not it at all. The new 25.00 fee would probably result in a .0000000001 % improvement to Overall earnings of RCI. Let's just chalk it up to lower oil prices, hopes of a better economy, and a very good stock market over the past few weeks, and not try to rationalize it to $ 25.00 items like this, ok ? :)

c-legs Posted October 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 14, 2006 :D Good evening, The RCL stock has been on a steady climb for the past 5 weeks. 3rd Quarter earnings help of course, as well as the price for oil now being under US$60-xx. Next peak, imo, will be upon 4th Quarter earnings annoucement, which ought to be better than anticipated ( even with a miserable Carribean booking season so far) as there has been virtually no impact suffered during the hurricane season, nobody has been killed on board ( !!!),and the end result from a fantastic Europe season for both brands will have made their way to the bottom line. JMO Cheers Claude G ;)
donnajo Posted October 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 14, 2006 The stock market in general is up because the housing market is down. Investors are not putting their money in real estate, they've switched back to the stock market. They just had a big discussion on this yesterday morning on Good Morning America.
