Question about Europe cruises and age policies

I just have a quick question about the age policies for Princess cruises. I know that it is 21 to both drink and go into the casino on normal sailings. I was just wondering if either of these change when in Europe? RCCL's new policy is that in Europe and South America there can be a waiver signed allowing a passenger 18-20 to drink. Is there anything like this on Princess? Also, there isn't any chance the age for the casino would also be lower, would there?

I really don't mean to start anything. I know "underage" drinking can cause quite a stir, so I would prefer we just kept it to answering the question :) Thanks in advance

We cruised on the Grand Princess in July and the age for drinking was 21yrs even though we was in Europe. But the year before we went on the Sea Princess that sailed from Southampton in the UK and I think the age was 18yrs for drinking. I think this was because this ship in particular is marketed at the british and the majority of the passengers were British.

Cant tell you about the casino as have no experience of it

Thanks for the quick reply... also, your post reminded me. It will be a Med cruise, not one leaving from England, if that makes a difference.

Hi,

We've been on 3 Med cruises with Princess and the over 21 rule applies for alcohol consumption and the casino.

We also did the Golden Princess earlier this year (around the British Isles) which departed from Southampton. It was still over 21.

I believe the Sea Princess is the only exception to the rule.
