Meeting someone in Cozumel

How would be the best way to meet someone in Cozumel if I'm coming on Carnival Miracle on November 1. We want to meet and then rent jeeps somewhere.

Would it be good to meet downtown Cozumel somewhere? What is the name of the pier that we go to and do we dock or tender? Thanks for any info if you have it.

That is hard to say because there is no guarantee if you are going to tender or dock. We were just on the Miracle and we docked at Punta Langosta. (across from CarlosNCharlies) But some were docking at the International Pier which is closer to the old Carnival pier (Puerta Maya) that is no longer there...except the rumble.

 

Give yourself plenty of time to get off the Miracle, because folks with ship excursions get off first. (especially of they tender)

If you want to meet downtown there are two places quite easy for anybody to find. There is the giant flagpole with the Mexican flag right on the seawall (R.E. Melgar Boulevard) between Punta Langosta Cruise Terminal and the downtown ferry pier. Or, there is the tower clock in the main plaza downtown. Rental car places are all around but best to have one selected and reserved, I think.
