I was going to wait until your 2nd cruise was over to thank you again for all the time you have spent taking us along on your b2b cruises. However, I think now is a good time to remind some viewers (of your thread) of the sacrifices you have made to take us vicariously along with you. You have given us live insights to many facets of your cruise, informed and given first hand information to those who had questions. If these were your objectives, you have indeed done a splendid job.

I applaud all those who post "Live from". You are all very generous to give up precious vacation time so others can be informed and cruise vicariously with you.

We all have our favorites to follow along and yours is one of my favorites. Thanks again.

You are very Welcome:) & thank you for your very Kind & Eloquint(sp):o words!:D My Best! Bill Live on the Coral

Bill, I am back from my Vision cruise and I only did one post because on RCI it is 50 cents a minute in spite of my Diamond status...one eye on the clock at all times...and I only got 40 minutes free...

That is one of the Many Areas Princess outshines the others(IMHO):D

I am so glad that noone allowed this thread to become negative because of what Frank said...shows we are all "grownups" and can converse as such..

I agree, well said!;)

My next cruise is on the Grand in April..I will not be able to keep up with Bill's standard, but I am sure I can post a few times!

That would be Great, I'd love to follow you!:)

Bill, did you ever meet up with Roderick, our cabin steward on your deck?

No, but I will for you, what Cabin did you have?( we are E737, were C727 last leg)

Bill, I am feeling much better now after our cruise last week, but still don't have a lot of energy, so I am off to bed. Thank you again for your continued posts...I will look for them again every day!!

You're Welcome & I'm Glad your feeling much better, Looking forward to meeting you & your's on our Emerald TA Cruise Next Year!:D Bill

Bill,

I hope you will continue your posts these last few days!

I have a question for our upcoming cruise..

Did you notice if they have Texas Hold 'Em in the casino.?.

DH asked me last night and I posted on the boards but no one seems to have the answer.

Thanks..MK

GM MK, They sure do, they have a special table set up in the outer Corridor near the bar Starboard side, (in the Evenings, Only? it is open). My Best!

Bill

Bill,

Thank you so much for all your information on your cruises. I am interested in knowing where the Coral docked on the last cruise and will dock tomorrow in Cozumel. I am hoping I'll have enough time to do some shopping after my exursion returns at 4pm. If docked downtime, I'm thinking I'll have at least one hour....probably enough time to do a little damage to my credit card! Last time we were there I found a great little jewelry shop and need to return for some Chirstmas presents....thanks again, Mary

This thread is getting a little off topic and a little out of hand? It's a great thread and should stay up here.. so I second the "end of discussion" comment on the last page!

Will do, of course!:) Nothing but the Best for this Great Board!;) My Best! Bill

No great loss. Can't stand GC; always too crowded and always too expensive. A big pain to tender for a quickie stop.

Bill, I'm glad you are back!! When we were on the Coral in April we didn't get off in Cayman or Cozumel...or in Panama either (we got stuck in Gatun Lake and by the time we got back thru the locks it would have been less than an hour before we were to leave again). We love being on the empty ship....call me crazy...Roderick knows me as "Mrs Debbie Vasa"...he was wonderful...snuck a lounge chair up for us, brought us a whole bottle of champagne for sailaway, and ALWAYS called us by name! I nominated him for employee of the month...he was spectacular. Keep having fun!!

Hello again! A quick note. I have not been getting online as much as Bill (I am amazed at his dedication).

The Canal by boat tour was excellent. A must do, in my opinion. We touched the wall sailed the whiole canal... it was why we took this cruise.

Limon.. we took a tour with Oscar Brown (check the port of call forums) and had a great time. We went to the Banana plantation, an animal preserve, zip-lining, and a private tour on the canal. Excellent! Oscar took care of us really well.

Grand Cayman... We just took a cab to 7-mile beach. We have been here several times before and with 6 ships in port decided to take it easy. It was a nice relaxing day. The cab rides wer $2.50 a person each way, but some try for $5.

Tomorrow... we are just taking a cab to Paradise beach. We have been to Cozumel several times and plan, once again, to take have a relaxing day.

Food and entertainment on board have been excellent. Duncan Tuck was entertaining tonite and we followed that with the Princess Marriage Game. That was hilarious. Last night was the production show called Dance. It was excellent. The first show in the Princess Theater has been standing room only every night. Be sure to get there early if you plan on attending the first show of the night.

More later.

Jeff

Welcome back Bill, it would have been a shame if the LOCK had remained. Even if Arlene said you were BAD (tony's thread - and I know she was kidding) I thought you handled the situation with grace and tact. We should all take lessons from your response.

Yup, we loved that tour, it is very long 6-8hrs(and could be more sometimes up to 10 Hrs I've heard (& the Guide said, Yes) Our Guide Manuel was the most clear speaking & informative & personal We have ever had in the Caribe.(A former Accountant;), but I'm not biased)

90 minutes by New A/C Bus to Gamboa, get on a 3 Deck Ferry type boat about 120' long, a/c 2 lower levels & an open & covered(Both) upper deck!

Comp. Bottled Water & Soda on ice on all decks, Beer $2.00 per can, snacks to buy & a Free Box "Lunch" (Sorta):( A cheap bread bomber, with a pressed turkey slice, no cheese, no mayo, no lettuce, no anything, oh I lied, 1 small Heinz packet of Mustard:D , Small Dry Brand Muffin & one tiny piece of hard candy(Dessert - Yummy) Well what do you expect for only $169.00 PP :D Cut......................... I board the Coral on November 12. I am really getting excited now reading these reports. Can't wait to hear your report of the smaller ship transiting the canal.

I know you are waiting for Jotworld's report on the smaller ferry going through the canal but just also go to the Ports of Call board and go to Panama Canal and then put in the "Search this Forum" sectiion the words ferry ride. All sorts of info comes up. We did that tour and it was worth every penny to me. It is quite long but worth it.

We entered the Gaillard Cut at Gamboa & cruised past Dredging Rigs & Blasting Set-ups Rigs & Diggings on the Shore, they are already widening in for the Future Expansion for "Super-Max" Ships more the 108' wide, (up to 150'?, I believe) with the New 3rd Set of locks to be built & completed b/4 2015 Then Cruised under the New & Impressive Centennial Bridge, Very Impressive & Great Pics! We then entered the Single Pedro Miguel Lock w/ a Large auto Carrier, we were Dwarfed:D Then A short distance in the Miraflores Lake & we entered the Double Miraflores Locks & dropprd eventually to the Pacific Ocean.;) Then just before the Bridge of the America's we turn & get off the Ferry at Port of Balboa, at Pamana City on the Pacific side. A Great Experience, Yesss! A long wait in the locks waiting for the big ship to join us, Yess! About 3.5 hours on the Ferry, about as quick as it can get! Then a 90 Minute Bus ride back to the Ship & the Port of Cristobal on the Atlantic Side! cut..
