Any "Somewhat Smoke-Free" areas on Valor

I have been reading many posts about the Valor. One of the main complaints I keep seeing is that there is so much smoke on this ship. Are there any places that tend to be less smokey than others (other than outside?) I have never been on a ship where the smoke was a real issue. However, that seems to be the case with the Valor.

The only 2 smoky places i have noticed was the casino and disco.

the 2 aft lounges are non smoking along with the normal areas, dining room, lido buffet ect...

I sailed on the Valor Sept 2006 and would say that the Eagles Lounge, The disco, Winston's cigar bar, the internet cafe (because it was so near to Winstons), and the Casino were all somewhat smoky. The only area that really bothered me and triggered my allergies was Winston's Cigar Bar and the Internet Cafe. The Eagles lounge was big enough that we were able to find a seat away from the smokers.

The casino, disco and the piano bar. Sadly on the Conquest, the piano bar really held the smoke when there was only one single smoker in the bar. The same thing happened on the Miracle. Only a couple of smokers at the piano bar...but the smoke would hit the wooden barrister above the piano and sink right back down around the piano. I kept thinking if I had only packed my Oreck smoke eater. Small, compact and requires no outside venting!!!

 

It would not help in a room the size of the casino or the disco...but an Oreck on the end of the piano would work wonders (silently and very small). I have made that recommendation to "Uncle Bob" since not even smokers like to sit in a haze.
