Grandeur Posted October 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Does anybody know if the ferry is running yet to Rum Point and if so, how we can book it? Been to GC tons of times and looking to just relax at Rum Point without all the other activities that an action-packed excrusion would include. Also, has anybody booked the RCCL beach escape on 7 mile beach? One includes lunch, one does not. Don't know anything about it though.
cccole Posted October 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2006 We were on Grand Cayman in August and the ferry was not running so we rented cars to go there. I think I have seen on this site that Disney is now running the ferry to Rum Point as one of their excursions. I also think that I have read reviews of 7-mile beach excursions offered by the cruise lines and that most say they should have taken a taxi and bought lunch at one of the hotel restaurants on the beach. Hope this helps.
drew sailbum Posted October 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2006 Disney Cruise Lines does offer a shore excursion to Rum Point for which they charter the ferry. Rarely other on-island groups charter it as well. For the rest of us, that means there is not a regularly scheduled passenger ferry to Rum Point. :(
