janymac Posted October 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Do you think anything will be open and the tour operators working? Thanks janymac:confused:
Deron Reid Posted October 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Don't worry all the attractions will be open in Ocho rios and I am told even some of the shops although not the ones used by the locals. As for the tour operators I know that the bigger companies work on Christmas day such as A-Z Jamaica planners and I would be amazed if Phil, Peat Taylor and the others are not working, just email them and I am sure they will be quick to tell you if they are working and what is open and closed. Wish I was there for Christmas, I can't get back till January (boo-hoo),
protocrone Posted October 31, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2006 We'll be in Ocho Rios on Dec 25 and I've emailed a couple of tour operators about excursions that day. Both told me that they WILL NOT be operating on Christmas day since Jamaica is a 'Christian' country. What about the Rastafarians? I've emailed our PVP at Carnival and have not received an answer. I can't get through to book an excursion on Carnival's website either. I'm sure that Jimmy Buffet's will be open - and they have a pool. happy trails,
