You all go diving BC in February ! What a hoot.... I would have thought that August would be the right month. That's a nice month here.

I am sure that there is a reason why this is prime time ?

You are right that I am really awed by how colorful the marine life is there. I had no idea. It seems that the most challenging part is diving around the tides.

I will look into this ! Thanks for the info.

Bruce...wow!!! BC as in British Colombia?! That is simply amazing, who would of thought such beautiful colors all the way up there!? How cold is the water when you go diving there? Do you wear a dry suit?

It's amazing how the "underworld" can surprise you!

You are correct. There is a reason for diving a that time of year. It is because the visibility is better from late fall to early spring. Summer in the Pacific Northwest is great, but the diving suffers. All the sunshine makes the plankton bloom and that can greatly reduce the vis.

Everyone on the trip wears a drysuit. I guess there are some people that dive the Puget Sound in Seattle wearing a wetsuit, but I sure can't.

The water temp in BC was in the low 40's. The most common temp reading I got on my computer was 43f.
