credit vs debit

I assume you are talking about using a debit card for on board charges, not for paying for the cruise. We have been on Star Flyer and Star Clipper. When we booked the cruises, we used a credit card, the charge was handled by their office in Miami. For the onboard charges we again used a credit card but our credit card statement showed that it was posted in Monte Carlo where their main offices are. Both cruises were in the Mediterranean, (Greece and Northern Mediterranean), for cruise in the Caribbean I guess they would use the office in Miami.

I would talk to the bank that has issued the credit card or debit card and see which one is more advantegeous(sp?) for you. Good luck.
