Late flight coming into MIA night before- Couple questions

We are arriving on a later flight the night (10pm) before or cruise. A couple ???

1. Is it best to get a hotel near the airport, if so any recomendations? We have 2 children age 11 and 8 and will be coming from the east and most likely SNOW:eek: . So would prefer first a clean, safe hotel, second a pool for the kids in the next morning.

2. How early can you arrive to the pier to avoid crazy check in?

Thanks!!

1) I would suggest booking a hotel near the pier. The airport is about 15 minutes away from the pier/downtown area. what kind of budget do you have? There are many different options at different prices.

2) you can check in as early as 10:30 AM but they probably won't let you on the boat until at least 12PM and your cabin usually isn't ready until about 2PM so I would bring a change of clothes and bathing suits for the kids so you can lounge by the pool and get something to eat.

Since hotel checkouts are at 11AM, are the kids going to have time for the pool?

I would just try and board the ship early and hang out there.
