Obstructed french door room on Spirit

I am about to book a cruise on the Spirit and am thinking about getting an obstructed oceanview w/ a french door. Has anyone seen these or stayed in one? I was thinking the rooms in between the life boats would probobly give the better view. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the rooms between lifeboats will give you a tiny bit of view. The others just give you air, some light, and the side of a lifeboat to look at. But it's standard oceanview size, so that's a plus!

Becareful because not all 5A's are created equal.

Staterooms 4202, 4203, 4205 and 4207 do not have French Doors, but have partially obstructed picture windows.

We had a room on the Pride that had the two lifeboats and you could see ocean between the two. But some rooms have lifeboats completely blocking the view. Our cabin was 4194 and it looked like this:

I was in the Pride (sister ship) 4115 cabin, which is between the lifeboats. Check out my pictures in my signature (Pride #1 album). I had plenty of sunlight...and fresh air, just had to stick my head out.

When I can't get hubby to spring for a balcony...the right 5A like we had on the Pride is perfect. I don't know if I would like the one completely blocked though. It is amazing what just a little bit of a view will add!!

We just booked room 4141- it's inbetween two life boats. thanks. We're looking forward to the cruise in January!!!
