Universal Studios Questions

We are wondering two things. First, how long is it going to take to get from the San Pedro Pier to Universal Studios? And, is it worth spending two days there? We can get the passes from my union for not too much money, but I just want to be sure it will be worth it! TIA!

If it's a weekend then 45 minutes (no traffic) to 1:15 (traffic)...

Depends on what you mean by is it "worth it"?

If you can get a two day pass for inexpensive, then it might be, as if you get a close hotel; then you can come and go during the two days and see other things nearby (Hollywood, other studios, etc.) in the meantime...
