jwmcq Posted November 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Who do you recommend for diving in Costa Maya? We are a group of half divers and half non-divers. We would like to stay together if possible - any ideas where we might be able to dive from to all stay together?
wa.mama Posted November 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2006 If you search the boards, several people have recommended http://www.mayapalms.com , whom we will be trying in a few weeks. They operate both snorkeling and diving out of a resort. Our group plans to hang out together at the resort, take our respective trips out to the reef, and avoid the crowds elsewhere. Check back on the boards next month and I'll let you know how it went!

Secluded, comfortable, unpretentious, great food and stuff for divers and non-divers. One suggestion: They will let snorkellers and divers go on the same inner-reef boat, but you end up diving in 12-15 feet of water. Split up for this part of the trip. Let the snorkellers go on the snorkel boat and the divers go on the dive boat. Have the lunch--best Mexican food ever, and I grew up 10 miles from the border.
