ultimatemaniaccruiser Posted November 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2006 Is there anyway to get what a princess rep says in writing? My fiance just found out Princess is changing their policy on expected mothers. You see we booked understanding that as long as she is not going to be in her 28 week by the end of the cruise she's ok. Now that number is 23 weeks starting on Monday. She found this out because she was phoning about excursions and which ones are "prego" safe. The rep said it's ok because we booked prior to the change. Anyone ever have success in getting something like this in writing? I've checked the passage contract and it states 3rd trimester which is 28 weeks. chrysalis Posted November 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2006 your "passage contract" IS getting it in writing....everthing else is meaningless.
Pam in CA Posted November 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2006 The Princess Passage Contract on the website says, "Carrier may refuse to embark You if, in Carrier’s sole opinion, You are unfit for any reason or You will enter the third trimester of pregnancy by the end of the Cruise." So, the policy is that you must complete your cruise before entering the third trimester. As Chrysalis says, this is in writing and anything a rep tells you is meaningless. Pam in CA Posted November 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2006 P.S. I was just checking the Cruise Personalizer for my February cruise and clicked on Special Requests. There's a box under Medical Conditions > Pregnant. When I clicked on the link, I saw that it says: "Princess Cruises cannot accept passengers who will have entered their 28th week of pregnancy by the end of the vacation. A doctor's letter must be submitted to Princess' Fleet Medical department indicating the estimated due date. You may download the Medical Condition form and fax it to Fleet Medical at (661) 753-0121." This is your answer -- in writing.
