BUDDY215 Posted November 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2006 We are having a small wedding on 12/23/06. Do they allow you to get ready once you board the ship? They told us to be there by 10:30 a.m. I'm worried things will get messed up.
Rare Host Kat Posted November 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Howdy Buddy215! Welcome to Cruise Critic and the Need Help Using The Boards? Ask Here! Forum! Thank you so very much for your post concerning an on-board wedding. However, you have posted on the forum where members find the "How to ..." type of information for using Cruise Critic's software. It is not the place for your type of post and the information you seek is off topic here. Per our Guidelines and to help you out, I am moving your thread to the Honeymoon & Wedding Cruises Forum where it will be on topic. It is a location where your fellow Cruise Critic members will be able to help you. Also, I suggest you read FAQ and Guidelines on the blue bar above. Especially the "Getting Started" section in FAQ. That's where you will see how a new topic should be consistent with the specific forum you choose. Click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php for the list of all the Cruise Critic forums and be sure to read all Announcement and Sticky threads at the top of the various forums for additional information too. I sincerely hope this will be satisfactory and glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic! Happy trails to you... Kat
Illinoisgal Posted November 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2006 HI I am getting married on the Elation this sat. You WILL NOT have time to get ready onboard except for changing( 99 percent of the time anyways) we are to be there at 10:30 as well, but do not get to board until the ship clears customs around 11:30 or 12. OUr wedding is at 1pm, with everyone except the bride needing to be in the location at 12:45. Hope that helps I will be giving a review when I get back next weekend
MOLUVSCO Posted November 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2006 We got on board at 11:00. Our suite was ready, as was everyone elses room that were wedding guests. We all had makeup and hair done before we boarded. Our guests had time to eat lunch then change into wedding clothes. I had plenty of time to get dressed before our 1:30 wedding. Good luck and have fun.
Rare babyclaytonmom Posted November 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2006 Dont count on having a lot of time. Our Miracle wedding 3 months ago was at 1:00 and we didnt get to board until 12:00. Throw in the rehearsal, changing, and having to be ready 15 min. before and we didnt even have time for last minute hair touch ups.
