What is the Carnival "brochure Super Saver Rate"?

As per another thread, there is a promo for a free companion ticket, but the original traveller has to pay the Carnival brochure Super Saver Rate. What is that? Just the rate that shows up if you go to the carnival site? That is typically a few hundred dollars above what I pay (I use online TA), so it seems like it would be a pretty good deal (all you need to do is open a checking account ...)

In the Carnival brochures (which pricing are very very high) there are several columns-one of which is a super saver rate.

A long time ago when I wanted to do cruising and I would get the brochures for various cruiselines I thought I can never cruise because the prices were way too much. Im soo happy to discover the internet and realize that cruising is affordable= all one has to do is research.
