Sun Princess

Shogun

Recommended Posts

She is a very beloved ship and despite having been the largest passenger ship afloat when she debuted, she's often referred on the boards as "small."

In my opinion, she has the best main pool area of the Princess fleet, a lovely Wheelhouse Bar, and nice sophisticated, if not quiet, ambience.

The Sun and her sisters are awesome. Our favorite part of the Sun Princess is the wrap around Promenade deck. It is nice to be able to walk ALL the way around and not have to be diverted or turn around.

We also like the wood deck chairs on the Promenade deck. The atrium bar is always a nice place to have a drink before dinner and Sundowners at the back of the ship provides a great view, especially at sunset.

HAVE FUN

The Sun and her sister ships, the Dawn and the Sea, have the best mini-suites in the business. They are two room SUITES. They have a two room bathroom - one room with a whirlpool tub and a stall shower and one room with the toilet and a sink. There is also a walk-in-closet. The balcony is narrow, but double the length of a balcony's balcony. The mini-suite is double the size of a balcony cabin.

I love the aft suites on the Sun and Dawn. Both the suites and the AFT minisuites are terrific. (EVEN MORE TERRIFIC THAN THE REGULAR ac MINISUITES)

The ship is just the right size. It is one mile 3 times around the Promenade deck, which is a terrific place to sit and let the world go by, especially if you like shade.

We have always had great service on the Sun, both with stewards and with dining room staff.

It keeps us coming back. We are scheduled for the 2/28/2007 sailing.

We were on the Sun last January. She is a lovely ship. We had an aft suite and it was amazing. There wasn't one thing about the ship we didn't like. You will enjoy your cruise immensely. Don't forget to try the Pizza!
