Racinrhonda Posted November 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2006 Hello Fellow Cruisers - I am helping my parents select a cruise line for a Northbound Cruisetour to Alaksa next August. I'd like advice/opinions on which cruise line to go with. I want them to have the best possible upscale experience. We are considering RCL - Radiance (Which I loved in 2005) versus The Diamond Princess versus HAL's Volendam. I'm also curious if a cruise tour would be too much for 70+ y/o travellers and if they'd enjoy a round trip of the Inside passage more - I think I would, at age 47. The three sizes are quite differnet - Radiance was perfect IMO for the inside passage, the Volendam seems very small (but not in cabin size) and the Diamond Princess seems almost too big for the Inside Passage. Any thoughts at all regarding cabins, ship size, service, ease of travel for 70+ year-olds, etc. would be so much appreciated, especially from those who have travelled Alaska with two or more of those mentioned lines.
