captbill Posted July 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2004 Oops! My GPS stored S 17 28.375' and W 149 40.736', which is a postion I thought I marked while underway out of Papeete harbor, but after comparing with other waypoints must have actually been closer to Moorea. Globaliser Posted July 18, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2004 Does anyone know the latitude and longitude of Papeete or FAAA Airport??The Great Circle mapper will give you the latitude and longitude of any airport at the end of a route, though you need to know the IATA three letter code for the airport. If you only want one end of the route, just put in any old airport at the other end. So if you type in PPT-LHR in the "paths" box and click Display Map, among the information it returns is:- PPT (17°33'14"S 149°36'26"W)
