Kathyh1313 Posted November 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2006 Hi Rona, We took the Aerial Tram through the ships excursion. Laudat is a fair distance from the port. We were not certain on the cost of a taxi. Because the Aerial Tram is so far, I wasn't sure we could catch a taxi back or have to pay for our taxi to wait. The ships excursion was worth the price. We rode on a mini bus type van with a tour guide who told us about the sights along the way. This guide rode in our tram and continued her excellent narrative. When we returned to Roseau, DH and I wanted to try some local Dominican food. Being Sunday, the restaurants near the waterfront were closed. We asked the guide for a recommendation and she became our private guide for the rest of the day. Touring us through Roseau, finally finding a small storefront restaurant, a local joint, on a backstreet. We usually don't take ships excursions, but this one was worth the price. Happy cruising, Kathy
