SJNB Posted November 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2006 Any advice?-(where to stay, etc.) I gave up on cruises because of their short stay at St John. All I want to do is see the rising tide. In Saint John, if you looking for a nice place to stay near everything, The Hilton is on the waterfront Or the Delta Brunswick The are both in Uptown Saint John. Very nice places. As for price they are both around the same $99-119 per night Canadian. If you are looking for something more economical, you could try the Fort Howe Hotel or Holiday Inn Express. Getting to Saint John, from the US you take I-95 to Bangor, Maine, and then Route 9 from Bangor to Calais, Maine and Highway 1 from The Maine, New Brunswick Border to Saint John. If you have any ofter questions, feel free to ask.
hvsteve1 Posted November 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2006 If you want to get the best view of Fundy go to the Hopewell Rocks where you can see high tide then return later and walk on the ocean floor. There are several motels there as you will probably want to do an overnight to see both high and low tide. www.thehopewellrocks.ca
