Snuba

I have seen many shore tours that offer the chance to try Snuba. What is Snuba?

Our friends' son did a SNUBA excursion. It is a cross between snorkeling and SCUBA diving. You have a mask, fins, and weights, like in SCUBA diving, but for breathing, you don't have a snorkel, but have a tube (hose?) that goes from your mouthpiece up to a floating tank on the surface of the water. You can not go as deep as you would if doing SCUBA, but you can get to the bottom and stay there for the duration of your "dive". Our friends' son said that the day he did this was the best day of his life!
