ccamp Posted November 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I just booked the Glory for DH and myself April 7th. I am very excited as we have not been on a 7 day in a few years. Our PVP upgraded us from the lowest balcony gurantee to assigned 1031 on the Panorama deck. There is a star next to that deck number on the deck plan. Is this a bad cabin or a bad deck? Should I ask to be moved? Any help with this would be appreciated. I have not been on this class of Carnival ship before. We have been on th destiny and 5 cruises on Fantasy class ships before. Thanks Carroll

Thanks Carroll I believe that means your sofa turns into a singe bed.:) Room for 3 people. My opinion, you have the best deck. Have fun!
Caribbean Dad Posted November 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2006 We were in 1035 (next door to 1031) on Valor (sister ship/same class) in February. Best cabin we have ever had. The star does mean that the sofa converts into a single bed. I would probably leave your booking the way it stands. The only potential for issues down the line is if they get booking for a cabin for three, in which case they may ask you to trade to another balcony cabin on the same deck. Should this happen, you will likely be offered on board credit for your trouble. As far as Panorama is concerned, it is ideal. Your cabin is just a short distance to the elevators that will take you to Decks 3, 4, and 5 (the area of the ship where all of the clubs, dining, casino, theater, and shops are located). But better yet, from your cabin you can head aft through the glass door, go down the steps and you'll find yourself at the forward Lido bar. A few more step and through another set of glass doors, and you are in the buffet. Go through the buffet and you are at the Aft Lido pool, where you will find burgers, pizza, and a bar. The key to getting around a Conquest Class ship, just like you found on Destiny, is to remember that the only public decks that go all the way from bow to stern are Decks 5 and 9. Keep that in mind, and spend a little time going over the deck plans before you go, and you shouldn't have any problems at all.
