We wont be in coz same time.I think we r there on 19th. Well nope not in Riverside,,good guess. We are near 57/60 frwy. it was a bit cooler today after all. You guys getting any of the fire smoke/ash? So Sad. Have a few firefighter friends but all la co fire. We booked through vacationsto go. Great price and service. I used them last year for caribbean cruise. We are flying out of LAX. We have layover in GA for 1 hr. Just enough time to let the kids stretch out their legs. Its their first time flying. Are you guys getting as excited as we are? I can hardley wait. Just hope we have great weather and safe trips!!!!!

The weather was alot cooler yesterday. That was good news for the firefighters. Last week the first 3 days of the fire we had it in the upper 90's with the Santa Anna's blowing it was so bad we had smoke everywhere, Once the wind stopped we did not get any smoke down our way. I sure hope they find out who set this fire so many people have lost everything they own. You got a good flight. What day do you fly back ? I have a feeling the airports are going to be a nightmare on our flights home, It being so close to Xmas. I hope to find out our info today. We can't wait to go :D My guest room is all full of everything to pack :D Have you started to pack ?

UGH! Dont remind me about the airports. Not looking foward to that. I have been putting away warm weather stuff for my kids. Hit the stores Friday and bought them new shorts, tee's,etc. Everything is on clearance. I am having a hard time finding lil girls bathing suits though. They have ones from this summer but we are HUGE lake people so they have been used ALOT. Are you guys stooping in Jamaica? I havent been to that island and have heard mixed things. My favorite is Grand Cayman. CAN NOT WAIT !!!! We booked air on airtrans cuz they had supper cheap fares but they changed our flights on us by a couple of hours. Not looking forward to the 4 am wakeup to get to lax on time. I took a Red eye last year and really cant see putting kids through that so we are leaving day early. You guys going early?

Go to www.jcpenney.com for the bathing suits they have some for $7.99 and $9.99 on the online outlet. You can also try www.target.com they may have some on clearance too. Last year before our cruise I got some great deals at both online stores. This year I just happend to walk into Limited too and found suits for $14 so I bought my daughter 2 since she goes thru them so fast. We sto in Grand Cayman and Jamaica this will be a first for us. I have heard some strange things from people about Jamaica around here. I'm sure it will be fine. Have you booked any excursions yet ? So far we have only booked Passion Island on Cozumel. We are flying out the day before so we will be out in FL for 1 night. Time goes by so fast I wish we could stay longer. I think the next cruise we book will be mexico or Hawaii so we do not have to take a long flight.

Good Idea !! I loved grand cayman. My Mom and I did the stingray excursion and I really had a good time...Mom...Not so much. She isnt a big adventure type person. My kids are a lil worried because the whole Steve Irwin accident. So I think that one we will prob pass with the kids but Im looking into beach type things. I havent booked any excursions yet. Im def ganna book a excursion thru rcc for jamaica though.Dont want to take any chances. Plus my husbands not too cool with the stories of people trying to selling their "good"s to you.. Have you used the Adventure Club for the kids? I have 11,9,7 yr olds. I have heard only great things about it. Thats funny you mentioned Hawaii. My husband wants to go in the summer but he just changed job position so we'll see. I would love to go on a cruise there.AHHHHH if I could just win the lotto. Last night my son was asking how room service works. He's never ganna want to take another type of vacation after this!!

I don't think we are going to do the stingray tour this time either. Your kids are going to love Adventure Ocean ! Our daughter now 9 never wanted to leave. They even have a night where they take the kids to dinner at Johnny Rockets. The late night party zone is cool they play this game called Ga Ga ball its like dodgeball the kids love it! They charge you $5 a hour from 10-1 but its worth it. Thats when we hit the casino and have a few drinks :p. AHHH lotto  , I think my odds are better finding a rich aunt I never knew I had LOL :D Yesterday I found out my air travel troubles are just starting. I called RC yesterday and got my flights and found out we have one stop in TX and when we get on in Tx to fly to FL we are all sitting away from eachother ! And the same thing has happened on the way back from TX to Cali. So now I have to check the airlines everyday and then if nothing has changed I get to battle at the airport:mad: . At least I have learned never to book air with RC again.

or must you do it through your cruiseline? If you can book it independently, what is the website? I've googled it for about an hour now and cannot find anything other than cruiseline tours. Thanks.

This was posted by "Solita" on another thread back in June.

"Passion Island (really a penisula) is totally quiet and pretty much a private area. There isn´t much to do other than relax, eat, drink and enjoy the gorgeous water and beach. It is only accessible via cruiseship tour. They have some S shaped lounge chairs and not much else. Playa Mia is very crowded...water toys, jet skies, pool, restaurant, bars. The beach area is public and alot of people go. It is a loud setting."

Hope She dont mind.

It's my husband and me, 3 kids, ages 10, 10 and 12. Want to swim (without weeds), a couple of reasonably priced drinks and some snack food for the family, and my husband and kids would like to snorkel, but the 2 youngest kids aren't great swimmers. Any good snorkeling close to the beach? I doubt it based on what I've read. Seems like all the good snorkeling is out at the reefs.

Hi, I have done alot of research before booking Passion Island for my husband and our 9 year old. And we liked Passion Island because they control how many people will be there and everyone I have talked to have said it is never crowded,No weeds and a beautiful beach (very clean) Drinks and food are part of the fee for the excursion. So why go to a public beach and pay only $9 unless you want to be with alot of people . Its just something to think about. Do the research and have a great time on your next cruise.

Cali :)

My wife & I were at Passion Island April 2005. Its a really neat place. All you can eat & Drink (Rum Punch & Beer). Very clean Beach. Thats about it. Its not a place in my opinion to snorkel. Its a VERY relaxing private beach. If Snorkeling is what you want you should probably go else where. We sail Feb. 11, 2007 on the Conquest and will be in Cozumel on the 16th. My party is doing a Snorkel Trip through Eagle Ray Divers. You can do it yourself by contacting Eagle Ray. Chankanaab would be another option. I'm sailing May 27, 2007 with the kids on the Rhapsody of the Seas and plan to spend the day at Chankanaab. I hope this helps. :)

So when is your next cruise ? We booked a weekend getaway on monarch for Nov this year "No Airfare" (YES) :p Come on down !

This is not a bash, but just a warning to people that are considering this tour... We just got back today (01/13/07) from our Western Jewel sailing... First off let me state, that the island is VERY beautiful, the food very good and the hosts are more than gracious... But here's problem... The boat that takes you to the island is an older open deck boat (Titanic II). So IF, it rains you will get wet, and along with wet, comes, cold... So, if you are looking at this tour, please keep this in mind, because even the beauty of the island, could not make up for the purple toes and shivering...;)
Thanks for the information. We are planning on doing this in Feb. I can't wait.
No problem... Just keep the rain in mind...;) Had it been a warmer day I'm sure it wouldn't have been bad, and the wind was strong the day we were there too... Another factor I'm sure... But here's a few pics...

You are going to be so happy you booked the passion Island Excursion it realy is Paradise! I have to go back again someday ! In Dec when we were there we had 8 ships in port with us and we did not know what to expect if there was going to be lots of people on Passion Island or not  But when we got there it was great ! There was only about 50 people or less from 3 other cruise lines on the Island around the same time as us :D It's great the way they limit how many people go to the island at one time, It realy makes you forget about the crowds like at some of the other beaches back on cozumel. Have a great time on your cruise !
