Officially it is 1PM but they will start to board early if they have cleared all passengers and the vessel through customs and immigration. The first to get to the terminal are the first to embark as they cue people as they arrive. For our recent Regal cruise, we got to the PanAm terminal around 11AM and were one of the first to board ( were 1st on our deck to do so ). Too bad that there was problems with a new piece of Customs & Immig. equipment and this didn't happen until around 1PM. Just before noon we were told boarding would start in 5 or 10 minutes but then the equipment glitch happened.

I left the ship just after embarkating to return our rental car ( had it airport by 1:30PM )and to visit OSJ.

I heard that late arriving passengers had a muster drill the next day which was a sea day.
