Phone coverage on Coastal?

Just wondering if the mobile coverage is only available while near Cairns etc or is it ok elsewhere on the cruise up to Port Douglas from Brisbane.

you should still be able to get reception up untill leaving the shipping channel off bribie island.

 

I will be able to tell you exactly where and when reception is available in about 2 1/2 weeks time after i get back from up there.

A girl from work has just come back from a coastal cruise. I will ask her on Monday if she noticed.

Thanks for your help guys, my mum is worried that the family won't be able to contact her if something happens to my dad. I've reassured her that they will be able to contact us. I am leaving all the details etc with my sister who lives near them up in Qld.

What about calling the ship directly? Ive got the direct dial numbers for both the Star and the Sun from the stuff that came with my tickets.

I spoke to the girl from work. She said they didn't have mobile coverage while sailing. Only in Cairns and Port Douglas.
