Mainerjgc Posted November 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2006 Is anyone going on this voyage? It's our first time with Windstar and we are both nervous and excited. The ship is the smallest we have ever sailed. Any tips for the uninitiated? We ususally travel on Holland America so we are used to the company's level of food, service, etc., it's just the ship that we want to know more about. Windstar is not the typical Holland America line. I believe you will find the food and service superior to other Holland cruises. Things to not expect: 1. To be entertained with shows etc. 2. Constant announcements over the PA system 3. Seating with the same people every night. 4. Having formal or semi-formal nights 5. Midnight buffets What to expect: 1. A fantastic relaxing time. Mainerjgc Posted November 26, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted November 26, 2006 We have been trying to read as many reviews, both good and bad, that we can so that our expectations are not too high. But from what we've read, it sounds like we are going to have a great time. Can't wait!
DreamBoatAnnie Posted November 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2006 When you return from your trip, please report back so we can live vicariously :) I'd love to hear about the Windspirit New Year's Eve sailing because we were looking at that itinerary for 2007/2008. Have a great time!
