shuttle service from Galveston to Hobby Airport

Does anyone know if there is a shuttle available from Galveston Pier to Houston Hobby? We are 11 and we called RCI and were told there wasn't anything to Hobby- best to take a cab. Trying to avoid that or possibly renting a van for the day..

Any suggestions?

I researched this for our April cruise, and booked a car 1 way to galveston, drop off and take cruise, booked return car from Cruise Ship Terminal on Hertz. For 4 of us, price was about $138 for both directions (4 people= 35 p/p) using AAA discount (not counting gas). If I remember shuttle price was $240 for 4 people ($60 each, RT) + 15% tip( = 69 p/p). We saved about half by renting a car. Plus we can go where we want with car. Shuttles usually take longer and have several stops. Also shuttle hours did not work for us. Our return car to airport post cruise is right at the Cruise Terminal. One way price on shuttle was $140 for 4 I think ($35 each).

 

For you, since you only need 1 way, Maybe you can price renting 1 or 2 vehicles or vans? from Hertz, right at the cruise ship Terminal. 1 way rental there is cheaper since you are not paying extra for airport rental. Our rate was $58.80 for economy car(15 p/p) not counting gas. Bigger cars will be more. However for our dates they open at 9am. Perfect for us as our flight is 1215pm. About 45 minute drive to airport.

Run the numbers with that many people per person cost may be even less than us.

Others report renting a limo as being less expensive p/p with your numbers.
