Are there hair dryers in the staterooms? Just wondering if I should pack mine.

Yes, but if that's you in the pic then i don't think the hair drier will be powerful enough for your locks.

I pack my own but if i get it washed early enough in the day i let it air dry (goes nice and soft) then just flat iron it at night

the hairdryer is awful. and it's not in the bathroom - it's under the TV - so no one can watch tv while you are using it.

Two weeks ago we were aboard the Zuiderdam and the blow dryer kept over-heating and cutting off. Also it had very little power so if anyone has thick or long hair my suggestion if to bring one with you.

That is not the case for all staterooms. I've cruised HAL 6 times now and never seen it under the TV. The dryer on the new Noordam was much better than I've seen on other ships. I recall some wall mounted ones that I didn't like very much (I think that was on the old Noordam)

 

I also thought it was interesting that it had European electrical plugs and could only be plugged in one place. My guess was so no US person took it home.
