jacank Posted November 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2006 We're taking the Maasdam on a Caribbean cruise Dec 11-22. I'm wondering about water temperatures for snorkling? I'm definitely not a cold water person. Should I take my snorkeling gear?

I'm definitely not a cold water person. Should I take my snorkeling gear? Absolutely. In my experience, water has never been too cool to enjoy snorkeling. Too windy/choppy with strong currents a couple of times, but never too cold. Bev

jacank Posted November 27, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Thanks for the info. From what I read on the weather link, it said the average temp was around 79 and the water will probably be in the 70's too <brrr>. Wonderful temperatures for December, but as for the water, I'm such a chicken, I'd need a wet suit. Has anyone been there in mid December and braved the water? bepsf Posted November 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 27, 2006 There's no ice in it, so it must be warm enough! ;)
